A total of 30 Barangay Monitoring Technicians (BMTs) from the 30 barangays of Malungon, Sarangani were identified by the Office of the Provincial Veterinarian to be trained in the Bantay ASF sa Barangay: Training on Specimen Collection for Barangay Biosecurity Officers (BBOs) held on July 19, 2021.
Ms. Gracia Salloman, underwriter of Philippine Crop Insurance Corp. XI (PCIC XI), discussed the Swine Insurance Program.
On the other hand, Dr. Jobienaur S. Moscoso of DA-RADDL 12 discussed and performed the proper procedure of blood sample collection in swine for laboratory purposes.
Moreover, Sarangani Provincial Veterinarian Dr. Bernard Cababat graced the one-day activity and discussed the Bantay ASF sa Barangay Program (DA-AO #6&7), and led the Oath taking ceremony for the duly deputized BBOs in there respective community.
The said activity was conducted by the Center’s Livestock Program led by Senior Agriculturist and Livestock Focal Person Ms Shirley L. Beldia together with Alternate Focal Mr. Errol Chris Las Piñas. (PASS/ECL)
