With dedication on one hand and eagerness to serve their community better on the other, the Department of Agriculture RFO 13 Caraga‘s determination came to fruition when at long last the very first Animal Disease Molecular Laboratory was established in Brgy. Taguibo, Butuan City, Agusan del Norte. Test results can now be obtained at a much faster rate, ultimately contributing to the battle against ASF. With the funding support from the National Livestock Program (NLP), the facility has been established in line with one of the 18 key strategies of OneDA Reform Agenda, the Food and Safety Regulations. The inauguration and unveiling of the Animal Disease Molecular Laboratory was held last May 25, 2022 and is set to be fully operational this June 2022. Laboratory operating hours are Monday to Friday 8:00-5:00PM.
RED Oñate, Jr; Regional Technical Director (RTD) for Research, Regulations and Integrated Laboratory Nicandro Navia, Jr.; Farmer-Director Christopher H. Lindo; and Dr. Ruth Miclat-Sonaco, Director of the National Livestock Program (NLP) graced the inaguration and unveiling of the Animal Disease Molecular Laboratory.
