On January 14, 2022, representatives from Department of Agriculture (DA), International Training Center on Pig Husbandry (ITCPH), Agricultural Training Institute (ATI), Batangas City LGU thru Office of the City Veterinary and Agricultural Services (OCVAS) awarded the 5,000,000.00 (Five Million Pesos) cheque to Malalim Multi-purpose Cooperative through the Integrated National Swine Production Initiatives for Recovery and Expansion (INSPIRE) that aims to recover and rehabilitate the Philippine hog industry.
Four Million Five Hundred Thousand (4,500,000.00) from the grant will be used for the construction of Community Based Swine Production thru clustering and consolidation. The building shall have the capacity of 300 heads of fatteners per cycle. While half a million (P500,000.00) shall be utilized as additional fund to purchase a piece of land where the communal farm will be constructed.
